I went there yesterday and was served by Courtney and everything was amazing from the food to the service. She was attentive and checked up on us whenever we needed something and was quick, the food was hot and good everything was great would definitely go again and recommend Courtney! :)

Our server Riley was fantastic! The food came out fast and delicious, and drinks were refilled before they ran out. Awesome breakfast spot!

Always a fan favorite - took our friends out to breakfast here who are from out of state. I love the omelette and pancake combo. The pancakes are truly unreal, I wish I could replicate them at home and the omelettes are massive. Service was a little slow this time but that is pretty abnormal. I would recommend joining the yelp waitlist in advance, otherwise I would expect at least an hour wait for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning

The food here tastes SO good and it's a massive portion plus reasonably priced! This is easily my favorite Sunday brunch spot The restaurant is huge and I've never had to wait a long time either to get a table for large groups Service is super friendly and accommodating- it's like a friendly diner vibe and I love it! It's pretty cold inside so bring a jacket or order a hot drink but it's a chatty and social ambiance when you walk in Good amount of parking spots in the lot + street parking too 10/10 recommend, this place is the reason I wake up for brunch on weekends!

I visited here on a Saturday morning (pride weekend) in a party of 4. There was a wait but the line moved fairly quick. Our waiter, Michael, greeted us a few minutes after we were sat by the host. Michael was friendly and helpful. I wasn't very hungry so I got the bacon and egg sandwich with a side of breakfast potatoes. One friend got biscuits and gravy and another got the apple pancake. Although it was pretty busy, it didn't take long for us to receive our food and we all enjoyed it. I would definitely return as there are items I wanted to try. Due to my lack of hunger, I opted to get something small so I wouldn't waste it. On the weekend, I would recommend getting a reservation or you may be waiting for a while. On the other hand, they seemed to get people in and out in a reasonable time.

I'll admit right now I'm a sucker for eggs Benedict, crepes, and especially blintzes. But none of these would be worth a hoot if they were served up poorly prepared or with a bad attitude. But, gentle reader, you NEED NOT WORRY about either of those conditions here at The Original Pancake House in Midtown Charlotte hidden a short walk away from the Metropolitan Target between the Chipotle and the ABC store. (Come to think of it, if one lived right in the middle of all of this he might hardly ever need go anywhere else!) This is a GREAT SPOT FOR A FAMILY or small group, as well as an individual out digital nomading for the day. With great open expanses and large Sunny windows, the singular non-euclidean triangulathon dining room is suited to all. If you need the silence of the library, this won't be your spot. But if you find the tinkle of glasses and the gentle patter of diners conversing over good food, you'll be right at home. Come Here for breakfast. Come here for Brunch. Come here for lunch or a very VERY early dinner, because this place closes in the late afternoon. Bring your smile and an empty stomach; you won't leave hungry nor disappointed thanks to the hard work of Mr. McIntosh, Monique and the other hard workers here at the original pancake house! You can't go wrong with a plate of blueberry waffles, crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a side of creamy grits. The waffles had the perfect crunch, golden on the outside but still soft and moist inside, and I drizzled them generously with sugar-free syrup. The bacon was deliciously crisp, and I crumbled it over my eggs for an extra layer of flavor. I poured the rich, buttery grits on top, seasoned everything with a dash of salt and pepper, and added a small pat of butter to melt into the warmth. The meal was utterly satisfying and bursting with flavor.
